The 8-year-old Wiseman's Ferry gelding went five furlongs in 1:00 flat Sept. 1 on trainer Charlie LoPresti's watch, and galloped out six furlongs in 1:12 in final serious move for the Sept. 13 Ricoh Woodbine Mile (Can-IT).
Wise Dan was bright-eyed and bushy tailed the morning of Aug. 25, powering his way through a five-furlong bullet in :59 flat on the dirt at Keeneland.
Charlie LoPresti said the two-time Horse of the Year moved closer to a likely start in the Sept. 13 Ricoh Woodbine Mile (Can-IT) with his third straight breeze on dirt.
Charlie LoPresti liked what he saw in a five-furlong workout by Wise Dan Aug. 2 on the Keeneland main track, and the Kentucky-based trainer is pointing the two-time Horse of the Year toward an early September return.

Two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan wasted no time getting back to business after being cleared to resume full training June 30, as trainer Charlie LoPresti sent him out to his first breeze in more than eight months July 17.

Charlie LoPresti heard the news he's been waiting on for months now, as the doctors at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital cleared two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan for galloping May 26.
